December 23: the rainbow direction

Yes, it’s a bit literal and oh so clever, but it needs to be. Someone. Has. Not. Been. Paying. Attention.

I took this photograph, according to the metadata, on April 29, 2018, at 9:42. A Sunday morning.

Other than it being a full moon in Scorpio, there is nothing notable about that day in my calendar. It’s blank. But I remember we were in a parking garage, walking to the car after breakfast. I saw the rainbow skipping toward me on the directional arrows and laughingly pointed it out to the kids, but they were not impressed. I joked to myself, I wonder which way I should go? and snapped a picture.

What was I facing in late April 2018 that required such an obvious push in the right direction?

More importantly, what’s going on right now that this photograph came to mind? I already know—that’s not a real question—just a statement with flourish.

At this time of year, we keep asking for direction, for a path, for a sign. But if you are open to receiving the answer, you don’t have to ask—you have to pay attention.
