December 7: Let go & let god

Back in April, I made a list of all the G words that I could write or meditate on to start my day. I noticed that G words lent themselves to traits and behaviors that set the right vibe for how I want my time to feel and what I want to do with it.

Exactly one year ago today, December 7, 2021, I wrote a blog about the letter G. Today, December 7, 2022, I am writing a blog about the letter G.

Total coincidence. But, of course, there is no such thing as a coincidence.

There must be something imbedded in the ether of December 7 that speaks to me in words that start with the letter G—grow, glow, good, grasp, gratitude, golden, goals, guidance, great, greeting, glean, give, glisten, gather, groom, glee, glory, gift, gorgeous, generous, generate, genuine, glad, god, ground, grace.

Mostly good words, but gusset comes up, too.

Rather than spending tons of time trying to connect the letter G to Pearl Harbor Day or infamy or the fact that on this day in 1948 it was 87 below zero in Canada (Google), I am going to let it go. Perhaps I don’t need to give this one to god, she’s got guns, gorillas, gaberdine, and gas prices to worry about already.

But I don’t need to let the details distract me from the pattern. A year on, I still need to remember to make time to set goals, give gratitude, and ask for grace because the universe is listening.

If you are also feeling the g-forces of today, read last year’s 3G blog here.
